Chilled Cast Iron Rolls for finishing stands for bar wire and section mills
ALLOY INDEFINITE CHILLED CAST IRON ROLLS
|
◆ CHARACTERISTICS
◇ In its microstructure, the size, shape and distribution of graphite and carbide are controlled by chilling
effect and the contents of alloy elements.
◇ The matrix microstructure can be changed from Bearlite, Bainite to Martensite through adding alloy
elements such as Manganese, Nickel, Chromium Molybdenum etc.
◇ The small amount of fine graphite in its matrix enhances the roll’s resistance to brittle crack, thermal crack and its wearability.
◇ The small hardness gradient in roll’s working layer is suitable for usage in intermediate and finishing stands for bar, wire and section mills.
◆ APPLICATION
Used in intermediate or finishing stands for bar, wire and section mills.
